Love Not Hate Young Stars of London: A Celebration of Talent, Unity, and Hope: Saturday, 8th Feb 2025 at Croydon

Posted by

On Saturday, 8th February 2025, the ‘Love Not Hate Young Stars of London’ event will take centre stage at Whitgift School, Haling Park Rd, South Croydon, CR2 6YT from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, bringing together London’s youth, community leaders and special guests in a celebration of talent, diversity and unity.

Building on the overwhelming success of the ‘Love Not Hate Young Stars of Croydon’ event in 2024, this year’s celebration promises to inspire once again. Over 150 young performers will showcase their talents through dance, music, instrumental performances, martial arts and cultural displays, creating a vibrant evening of entertainment and community spirit.

This year’s event takes on even greater significance as London faces increasing concerns over youth violence. In response, the event will feature a panel discussion on ‘Community-Led Solutions to Violence Affecting Young People.’ Chaired by London’s Violence Reduction unit representative, the panel will bring together:

  • Young people with lived experiences of knife crime.
  • Experts on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
  • Mental health specialists.
  • Representatives from Enterprise Nation supporting youth entrepreneurship.
  • Chief Superintendent Andy Brittain, the Metropolitan Police.

The evening will also include an Interfaith Prayer, emphasising unity and compassion, led by the faith leaders of Croydon.

The event aims to raise funds in support of the Civic Mayor of Croydon’s charities and the Manju Shahul-Hameed Foundation for Mental Health (Registered Charity No. 1176447), with a specific focus on establishing vital mental health support systems for young individuals. Special Guest: The event will also welcome Aché Abrahams, Miss World Caribbean 2024, among a stellar lineup of speakers.
