Building on the success of ITB Berlin, Kerala Tourism hosted a dedicated promotional event at St James Court, London, aiming to strengthen its presence in the UK travel market. The event brought together local travel agents and tour operators, offering them an exclusive opportunity to explore Kerala as a premier travel destination.
Several reputed travel and tourism companies, including hotel groups and tour operators, participated in the promotional event, highlighting Kerala’s diverse tourism offerings. The event was led by Ms. Sikha Surendran IAS, the Director of Kerala Tourism, who addressed the gathering and presented an engaging PowerPoint presentation on the unique attractions of Kerala. Her presentation covered various aspects of Kerala’s tourism, including its favorable climate, health tourism, adventure tourism, and beach holiday experiences.
A strong delegation from Kerala participated in the event, representing a diverse array of tourism-related businesses. The attendees from Kerala included Sita Travel, Kairali Ayurvedic Group, Kondody Hotel and Resorts, Concord Exotic Voyages, Paradise Holidays, Somatheeram Health Group, Somatheeram Ayurvedic Resort, East End Hotels, and Dravidian Trails Holidays. Each of these organizations showcased their specialized services and products, engaging with UK-based travel agents and tour operators to foster new business opportunities. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions and collaborations, enabling Kerala Tourism to strengthen its ties with the UK travel industry.
The UK attendees included Southall Travels, Window To Luxury, Tour Designers, Tour Finders, and Yoga Huts etc. Speaking at the event, Ms. Sikha Surendran IAS emphasised Kerala’s unique appeal as a travel destination. “Kerala offers a rich and diverse experience for travelers, whether they seek rejuvenation through Ayurveda, thrilling adventure activities, or a serene beach getaway. The UK remains a key market for us, and we are committed to working closely with our partners here to promote Kerala as an unmissable destination.”
Attendees were highly receptive to the presentation, showing keen interest in Kerala’s wellness tourism, backwaters, and luxury resorts. The event concluded with networking sessions, where local travel professionals engaged directly with Kerala’s tourism representatives to discuss potential collaborations and business opportunities.
